History Established in 1880 The story of the Boise Stage Stop by Kathryn Lilley Allen This story starts in 1890 when Joseph Boyle ran a general store and post office which he named Regina, after his mother Regina Boyle Allen. In October 16, 1921 Joseph Boyle was killed by a robber in his store (Boise Stage Stop), the murder was never solved. In the 1925s the Regina Store was bought by Ken Compton who remodeled it in 1922. When the old highway was changed from Hwy 30 to I-84 in 1929, the Comptons moved the old store building to its current location. They built a new addition for their store and used the old for living quarters and storage. The Comptons operated the store and Mayfield Post Office until 1945 until they moved to Boise. The Regina Store changed hands two or three times during a short period of time. Shortly after this the Regina Store burnt to ground and was rebuilt soon after and called All The Kings Men and in the 1950s changed to Sukies and then to what it known as today The Boise Stage Stop.
