Specialties Boise Hillside Suites is a unique bed and breakfast for the historian and the romantic alike. It is located in the beautiful North End of Boise. Tranquil, very quiet, on the hillside, but 5-10 minutes to downtown where all the action is. The house was built in 1954 by its original owner, John Fairchild. It took 20 years to construct and the house is made entirely of rammed earth (concrete/dirt) construction. Not a single nail was used in the construction of the home. The Inn has three suites. All of them have private entrances so you don’t have to walk through the main house. All have private bathrooms. All rooms have HDTVs with FREE Netflix and access to a huge DVD library. As well, they contain in-room Keurig coffee makers, microwaves, refrigerators, some contain a full fireplace, private hot tub, and a full kitchen. History Established in 2011 The Owyhee Mountains beckon in the distance. It is unbelievably quiet. It sits up on the hillside – not too high nor too low. At night you can see the city lights and the Capital Building. The sunsets are breathtaking. The array of wildlife is so vast. Deer are abundant and accent the hillside perfectly along with our newly found albino deer. Around 9:00am every morning there is a large quail run across the front road. About 50-75 quail make their pilgrimage forging for food. They look like little road runners! There are a variety of birds that also welcome themselves in our bird feeder. A place like this would seem like it’s out of the way, but really it’s only five minutes to downtown, on the way to Bogus Basin, and close to an abundance of amenities. It’s the perfect combination of tranquil and active. Bike trails, Edwards Greenhouse, parks, access to North Boise, groceries, restaurants, nightlife, all right at your fingertips. Meet the Business Owner:
Keith T. We are two super down to earth folks who grew tired of the ‘corporate life’ and decided to take a chance. We quit our jobs and followed a dream. Keith is the chef and tech guru. He is in charge of cooking and building the web business. As a technology executive, he grew weary of sitting behind a desk and wanted to meet genuinely true friends. Marylee owned a trucking company and decided that after 25 years, it was time to follow her dream of owning a bed and breakfast. What a perfect synergy as we both give and appreciate hospitality. You’ll like us. We really are just two friendly folks who are following a dream. Come experience it with us!
